Holiday Inn Thoiry (Geneva Airport) France, Avenue du Mont Blanc
Embedded in a landscape with meadows, hills, mountains, and trees, is a small building that fits in harmoniously with the surrounding sites. Experienced tourists - or corporate design fetishists - will recognize it right away by the left inclined script nameplate “Holiday Inn“. Either way, the light salmon-pink coloured, three-storied residence certainly attracts first-time visitors, too.
Guests of the four-star hotel may choose between 95 rooms and two suites, including 52 where smoking is not allowed. Even though the latest refurbishment dates back several years, they are comfortably furnished with precious fabrics in cozy styles. All of them have a coffee maker, internet access, air conditioning, a hairdryer, pay TV, satellite TV, and a direct phone. Furthermore, all windows are double glazed.
Although erected on French soil, the Holiday Inn Thoiry is only two minutes away from the border to Switzerland. As the addendum “Geneva Airport“ foreshadows correctly, the next international aerodrome is close-by. A free transfer to it is provided, as well as to other facilities within a radius of ten kilometres from the hotel. This includes train and undergound stations, too, and the 100 free parking spaces suffice for all guests.
Another appreciable institution is the business center with all auxiliaries expected by a modern clientele: Copying and courier services, E-Mail and internet, fax, PC and printing services, and specially equipped executive rooms. Several conference facilities can be chosen from, the largest one with a capacity for 220 delegates. Languages spoken by the hotel staff are Spanish, English and French.
The Holiday Inn Thoiry is also a family-friendly place. Pets are welcome there, and children enjoy free meals. This can relieve your budget tremendously, especially after activities such as a tour to the nearby shopping center, for example; an exhausting day at the skiing resort; tennis lessons at the adjacent court; a trip to Lake Geneva, or to the panoramic viewpoint on the city and on Mont Blanc. All this provides enough exertion to transform you and your offspring into hungry wolves.
