




After the Football World Cup in Germany, Switzerland and Austria as well will be the destination of football enthusiasm in 2008. Between June 7th, 2008 and June 29th, 2008, all the attention within Europe will be turned to the 8 venues Vienna, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Klagenfurt, Basel, Zurich, Bern and Geneva.
Unlike in Germany, less fans will be able to follow the teams passionately live in the stadium. The capacity of the stadiums is limited to 30,000 spectators, exception made of Basel (40,000) and Vienna (50,000).
From the experiences gained from the World Cup 2006 this should be no big problem – everyone can cheer along passionately and join in the excitement, no matter if inside or outside the arena.
For a first orientation: the opening in Basel will take place on June 7th, 2008 at 6 p.m.. People looking for a hotel or accommodation in Switzerland already now, are probably not too early ...

We collected some information on stadiums and cities where the European Football Championship will take place in 2008. Due to the not yet finished qualifications there are no facts on who is playing where during the tournament.
